Locks break down and you are locked in or locked out of your home or it may be that you can't lock the door.

It may be possible to resolve the problem by simple adjustments to the door but it could be that the whole lock needs replacing which can be done at a reasonable cost depending on the type of lock.

Identifying the Lock-
Each brand has different styles and types in their range.
Different backsets (measurement from door edge to centre of spindle)
Different configuration of hooks, shoot bolts, roller cams, mushroom cams, latches and deadbolts.
Different centres (measurement from spindle to cylinder centres)
Different spindle sizes 8mm or 7mm square.
Different widths and styles of face plates

Lock Availability-
Some locks have been discontinued so a different type has to be used. Slight alterations to the door and door frame may be required.
It would be impossible to stock every type of lock on the market but most locks can be acquired from the wholesaler within 24 hours of ordering.

Door security-
If the lock is unserviceable it may be necessary to secure the door temporarily until the new lock arrives to be fitted. This can be done with the use of Sash Jammers. These can be removed when the new lock is installed, although some customers choose to leave them on for extra security.
